Is it “OK” for me to shake my booty at a time like this? - Well Collective

These have been some interesting and difficult times.  It can difficult, pointless or even wrong to be shaking our booty when there are people all over the world that are suffering.  Actually, the exact opposite is true.

With the explosion of social media we are now more aware of what is going on in the world than ever before!  This can be a good thing, but also a bad thing as well. Knowing about what is happening all over the world can cause increased stress levels and make us feel completely OUT OF CONTROL about what happens in our lives.  Because of this we NEED an outlet, we need a place where we can move our bodies which will ultimately help to decrease stress levels and get better sleep. We also need the community we find in Zumba classes.  Our sense of connectedness to those around us not only helps us physically in decreasing cortisol levels but also helps to remind us that we are not alone.

So be sure to take some mental health time, and SHAKE AWAY!
