YOUR WORDS CAN CREATE OR DESTROY - Well Collective

Have you ever noticed how much of your day is shaped by the conversations happening inside your own mind?

For years, I didn’t realize how often I was speaking limitations over my life. “I’m too busy.” “I’m too old.” “It’s probably not going to work.” “Things like that don’t happen for people like me.” “I’m not good enough.”

The problem is that our minds are always listening.

What we repeatedly say becomes what we repeatedly believe. What we believe influences how we show up. And how we show up ultimately shapes the life we create.

I’m not talking about pretending everything is perfect or ignoring real challenges. Life is life. We all face setbacks, disappointments, and seasons that stretch us beyond what feels comfortable.

But I’ve learned there is power in choosing words that align with possibility rather than defeat.

Instead of saying, “I can’t,” what if we said, “I’m learning?”

Instead of, “Nothing ever works out for me,” what if we said, “Something good is unfolding, even if I can’t see it yet?”

Instead of focusing on what is missing, what if we spoke gratitude for what is already present?

The words we speak over ourselves matter.

Every day we are planting seeds. Some seeds grow fear, doubt, and limitation. Others grow confidence, hope, courage, and faith. The beautiful thing is that we get to choose which seeds we water.

One of my favorite daily habits is speaking intentional words over my life. Not because I think words are magic, but because they help direct my focus toward what I want to create rather than what I fear.

I speak health over my body.

I speak abundance over my finances.

I speak joy over my days.

I speak purpose over my work.

I speak peace over my mind.

And when negative thoughts inevitably show up, I try not to give them a permanent place to live.

This week, I invite you to pay attention to your words. Listen to how you speak about yourself, your dreams, your body, your future, and your circumstances.

Then ask yourself:

Would I speak these same words over someone I deeply love?

If not, it may be time to choose new ones.

Your words have power.

Your voice matters.

And the story you tell yourself today may become the reality you live tomorrow.

Choose words that lift you.

Choose words that heal you.

Choose words that remind you of who you are becoming.

You are speaking your future every day. So speak love to yourself!

With love,

Loretta
